For forty days, Professor Grimalda traveled to reach the site of his research, Papua New Guinea. By trains, trucks and ships, he arrived at his goal with ten times less CO2 emissions. Then the university in Kiel forced him to return by plane. Grimalda said no, becoming the first employee to be fired for refusing to fly.
