AoDR Festival brings a curated selection of short films to Mammoth - A Climate Action Cinema!
From an Oscars-shortlisted absurd Spanish satire about plastic bags to the all-too-real political and environmental destruction which Shell has caused in Nigeria, Eco-Hack! takes a global response to a global issue, showcasing an international perspective on conservationism and the climate crisis.

Join us afterwards for a Q&A with Mark MorganFestival Co-Director for AoDR Festival, who has curated this selection for us.

Eco-Hack! (2023)
Deep in the Mojave desert, an unconventional field biologist wages a high-tech war against ravens - think laser cannons, drones, exploding turtle shells - in a last-ditch effort to save the last few desert tortoises from extinction.

I Am More Dangerous Dead (2022)
A poetic tribute to writer, poet and environmental activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa, who was executed alongside eight other activists for opposing Shell's environmental damage done in his oil-rich homeland.

Of Wood (2022)
"Of Wood" is a unique stop motion film created by progressively carving images into a large round of wood, enhanced with wooden objects emerging from the wood. It examines the role of wood in daily life through the ages and comments on the impact of consumerism on our lives.

Plastic Killer (2022)
Amparo lives in an old abandoned haberdashery with the only company of Carmela, a plastic bag whom she considers her daughter.

White Grass (2022)
Munkhjargal, a 10 year old female jockey, and her family of nomadic herders train to compete in Mongolia's most important festival - Naadam - following a devastating cycle of extreme winters and dry summers that decimated their flock and threatens their way of life.
